Unit 3 (Relationship Between Literature and Art)- Initial Ideas. Kurt Jackson.

Here I explored the style of Kurt Jackson. I chose to look at the work of Jackson because of his use of text in his work, and the relationship of the painting to the words in the piece. This was very similar to my chosen subject matter for Unit 3. This was my first piece where I had to experiment with how to incorporate the text into the painting. This piece was also done using oil paint and applied with mainly a pallet knife.
