These are my observational studies based on architecture I saw whilst on my college art trip to London. For the piece top right of the page, I started to experiment with heavy surface texture (influenced by Valery Koshlyakov, who was exhibiting at Saatchi gallery at the time). For the adjacent study I photocopied said surface and then applied paint with my finger. The study on the bottom left is again drawn onto a photocopy of the textured surface. The work of Koshlyakov heavily influenced my final outcomes for this topic.
