As this was my first time using monoprint my aim was to find out which methods worked and which didn't. For example, sketching onto the back of paper whilst it is lay on the ink, then adding detail by lightly rubbing my thumb over areas was the most successful (bottom left). Also, 'painting' into the ink with turps created an interesting outcome (middle right). I also experimented with the use of stencils which i created from my own observational drawings.
